The art of parenting according to the eyes of the children was an interesting subject highlighted by Dr. Orestes Monzon, Human Life International Asia Executive Director.
It is not often that children have a say in what they expect from their parents.
Dr. Monzon said a survey conducted by Human Life International among children aged between 12 to 16 revealed some very important needs.

- Parents who hug and touch them with affection.
- Parents who are patient.
- Parents who keep their promises.
- Parents who encourage, support and are ensuring.
- Parents who listen.
- Parents who trust them.
- Parents who spend time and play with them.
- Parents who are always around and allocate times for their kids.
- Parents who understand and care.
- Parent who love.
Dr. Monzon said No. 10 is the most important. "Give love to your children today. Live the present moment. Don't wait. Today is the most important. You can never change the past, nor control the future. Do the best today. Give flowers when a person is still alive. Don't wait until he is dead! But don't substitute presence for presents" he said.
Dr. Monzon has very important point for parents to ponder over. " A child is not likely to find a parent in God unless he finds God in his parents."
Tip: Seorang suami jika ingin umur panjang, peluklah isteri selama 10 saat setiap pagi. Di samping itu dikatakan boleh melangsingkan tubuh isteri.So tak payahlah nak susah-susah berdietkan.

ReplyDeleterindu kenangan semasa membesar ketika di alam remaja dulu.. terima kasih atas perhatian yang diberikan..namun kadang kala hati ini sedih kerana hingga saat ini, diriku masih belum berdaya membuat keputusan sendiri..ibu, ayah..berilah peluang untukku membuat keputusan sendiri..kali ini sahaja. ku perlukan ruang itu..
